SDPMflut

SDPMflut is a Python package to perform subsonic compressible aerodynamic and aeroelastic analysis on aircraft wings, using the compressible unsteady Source and Doublet Panel Method (SDPM) or the compressible unsteady Doublet Lattice Method (DLM). It is based on Unsteady Aerodynamics: Potential and Vortex Methods and subsequent publications [1-3].

SDPMflut comes with examples demonstrating how to calculate:

  • steady aerodynamic pressures and loads,
  • unsteady aerodynamic pressures, loads and aerodynamic stability derivatives
  • flutter solutions.

You can download the latest version of the software here. For further information and installation instructions you can download the user’s guide here.
